Simply provide your information to your local Volkswagen retailer, when placing your order and we will be in touch to sign you up to one of our discounted electricity price plans. You'll benefit by saving up to €1,300 on the cost of a new home charger including standard installation and have access to a range of electricity plans with cheaper night rates. Frequently asked questions
To receive this offer, simply order your new Volkswagen ID. or PHEV at your local Volkswagen dealership.
Your dealer will then complete a webform with your personal details and vehicle order information, which will be submitted directly to Flogas.
Once submitted, you’ll receive a confirmation email letting you know your information has been received, and Flogas will contact you within 48 hours to guide you through the next steps.
To be eligible for the Volkswagen ID. or PHEV charger and energy offer, the following conditions must be met:
- Vehicle Order & Energy Switch
You must order a new Volkswagen ID. model or PHEV from 22nd September onwards and agree to switch your domestic energy supply to Flogas under a 12-month contract.
- Private Parking Requirement
The offer is available to customers with off-street parking. If you do not have a private driveway (e.g., apartment residents), our installation partner will explore alternative solutions with you.
- Property Ownership
Customers who rent their residence or rely on public roads for parking are not eligible for this offer.
- Existing Charge Point
If you already have a charge point installed, you may still avail of an energy-only offer by switching your energy supply to Flogas.
- Replacing an Older Charger
If you wish to replace an older charge point, please note:
• You will be responsible for the €300 grant portion of the new charger.
• Any costs related to removal of the existing charger or required upgrades will be borne by the customer.
• Volkswagen and Flogas cannot cover these additional expenses.
Yes, this offer is available to existing customers too.
If you are currently in contract with Flogas, we will switch you to our Free charger price plan and organise the installation of your charger once you purchase your new Volkswagen ID. or PHEV.
Existing Flogas customers will not be charged a termination fee to switch to this offer.
Yes, however you may be liable for a fee to end your current contract which is typically around €50. Refer to your Ts&Cs
If you prefer, you can postpone the switch until your contract ends. Depending on how long you have left on your contract, the offer may not be available at that time so we would advise you not to wait to avoid any disappointment.
Existing Flogas customers will not be charged a termination fee to switch to this offer.
Once you sign up to Flogas, our installation partner will contact you to schedule an installation date and complete a pre-installation survey of your property.
Note, your charger will only be installed after the 14-day cooling off period and no more than one calendar month prior to the handover of your new Volkswagen vehicle.
No, Flogas can postpone the switch until nearer the time your car is due to arrive.
Our installation partner will contact you to book a provisional install date and confirm what information is needed to complete a pre-installation survey.
Flogas will call you at least 2 weeks before the install date, to process the switch.
For any pre-order, your charger will only be installed after 01 December 2025.
By taking this offer you are receiving a free EV charger, including installation, with a saving of up to €1300 when compared to buying your own EV charger and having it installed.
In addition to saving on a charger and installation costs, you are also receiving a discount on your electricity with Flogas.
Flogas will have an EV tariff available from November 2025
If you choose to switch to Flogas today, you can decide to switch to an EV tariff at a later date, without penalty.
You can also postpone your switch to Flogas until after the EV tariff is available, though you may be liable for any termination fees with your current supplier. Refer to your Ts&Cs.
A standard install means - a wall mount charge point, up to 10m cable from fuse board to charger, one core through one wall, internal trunking, external conduit, isolation switch, dynamic load management.
Any extra work necessary for the installation of a free charge point is subject to additional cost.
If you cancel your electricity contract within the 12-month fixed term, you will be liable for an early termination fee of €400, including any reasonable costs incurred by Flogas for the charger and installation.
We will contact you before the end of your fixed term to discuss your options with you. If you choose not to enter a new contract with Flogas at that time, you will default to our Standard Variable electricity rates.
Yes. If you pre-order a new Volkswagen ID. or PHEV and choose not to proceed with the purchase before the vehicle handover, you will be responsible for covering the reasonable costs incurred by Volkswagen for the charger unit and its installation, which were included as part of the promotional offer.
No, you do not need to apply for the grant. Our installation partner will receive this grant on your behalf, as part of this promotional offer.
If you have already received this grant in the past, you will be liable to pay €300 towards the charger installation.
Customer Terms & Conditions for Free EV charger offer
- The following terms and conditions apply to this promotional offer. In the event of any conflict, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail:
- The free home charger offer is available to new and existing Flogas customers who purchase a new Volkswagen ID. or PHEV in addition to signing up or renewing their domestic electricity supply to Flogas, for a minimum 12-month term on a specific electricity tariff.
- Electricity tariffs applicable to this offer are available to view on VW Free EV Charger Offer | Flogas and are subject to change at any time.
- This offer is eligible to customers who purchase new Volkswagen ID. or PHEV vehicles only, with a registration on or after 01 January 2026.
- You must agree to provide your MPRN, Home address, Email address, Mobile Phone number, Direct Debit details, a picture of your electricity meter, fuse board and driveway as well as any other information necessary to avail of this offer, to Flogas or its partners.
- By availing of this offer you agree that your personal information will be used to administer the offer.
- For customers who pre-order a Volkswagen ID. or PHEV, a home charger installation will not take place more than one calendar month prior to the scheduled handover date of your new Volkswagen ID. or PHEV.
- In any case, no charger will be installed until a minimum of 14 days (mandatory cooling off period) after you sign up to Flogas for your electricity.
- In the event that a charger is installed before the delivery of your new Volkswagen ID. or PHEV and you no longer proceed with the purchase of a vehicle, the customer is required to make a payment of €300 to the Volkswagen Retailer. This amount will be retained by the Volkswagen dealership from the deposit you paid when placing your vehicle order.
- Should you cancel your electricity contract within the initial 12-month term, a termination fee of €400 will apply.
- At the end of your 12-month fixed term, you will default to our Standard Variable rates, unless you have agreed to enter a new contract with Flogas. We will contact you before the end of your fixed term to discuss renewal options available to you. Our standard variable price plans can be found on our website.
- ePower will receive the €300 SEAI grant on behalf of the customer which forms part of the offer.
- Where you do not qualify for the SEAI grant or have previously availed of the grant, a payment of €300 will be required to be made to ePower to avail of this offer.
- The offer includes a free charger with standard installation[1]
- Customers must have off street parking to avail of a free charger installation. No chargers will be installed on public roads or in shared parking spaces.
- The charger shown is for illustrative purposes only and is subject to change.
