Government carbon tax update for liquid gas (LPG) customers

The carbon tax is currently €63.50 per tonne of CO₂. A planned increase to €71 per tonne, which had been due to take effect from 1 May 2026, has now been deferred by the Government until October 2026.

We will continue to keep customers updated on any changes affecting the price of liquid gas.

Please note that carbon tax is set by the Government. The price of liquid gas may also be affected by other separate market factors from time to time, including changes in global energy supply conditions.
