The ‘Bank of Ireland UK Irish Junior Open at Killymoon Golf Club’ in association with Flogas is to be held at Killymoon Golf Club from the 24th to the 26th August 2014. The event will attract up to 300 junior golfers from all around the world to compete for the prestigious title.
Event organizer and promoter PGA Professional Michael Gallagher explained that the event came about when he was coaching at the European Tour’s Irish Open at Carton House in 2013, “I had seen how passionate the Irish where at following their golfing stars and I wanted to create a similar event for the junior golfers, as this is an area I feel passionately about. Hopefully this event will prove to be a major stepping stone for the youth of today to compete against the best. I thank all the sponsors for making this event possible”
