Fill out the form appropriate for your move
Or follow these 3 steps
- Call us on 041 214 9500 seven days before you move out – just have your account number and GPRN to hand.
- Provide us with a forwarding address.
- Finally, we will need a final meter reading.
More Information
For more information on your meter, see how to submit a meter reading.
If you cannot provide us with a final read, we will need to agree an estimated reading between us or grant Gas Networks Ireland access to lock the meter. The charge for GNI locking the meter is €68.88 (Inc VAT).
If you cannot meet the requirements above, you may be charged a special administration fee of €60 in order for us to attempt to obtain a read and close your account.
Please bear in mind that you remain liable for all natural gas consumed until such time as you inform us you are leaving the premises and provide/agree to a final meter reading or give GNI access to lock the meter.
If you have the name of the incoming occupant(s), we will be happy to take the name from you and note it on our system (but this is not required to close your account).
