CNG Refueling Procedure
To dispense CNG:
- Ensure the vehicle is positioned correctly within the refuelling zones, with the fuel tanks aligned to the dispensing point to avoid hose stretching. Furthermore, and at the same time, ensuring the vehicle is not blocking any entry or exit points.
- Ensure the engine, lights and any external heating systems are turned off.
- Only dispense fuel into approved tanks.
- Before removing the nozzle from its housing please proceed to the payment terminal. Insert your card into the card reader on the payment terminal and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Once the card authorisation is completed, please remove the nozzle from its housing.
- Connect the nozzle to the vehicle’s tank (suitable for storing natural gas at the maximum fueling pressure).
- Move the three-way valve on the nozzle handle to the ON position (arrows point the same direction) to dispense CNG.
- Start dispensing CNG by pressing the Green Start (1) button on the dispenser. While the vehicle is dispensing, please continue to watch the equipment to check for any signs of malfunction which may cause potential danger.
- The pump will continuously dispense the CNG until the pre-determined amount of pressure or low flow has been delivered. Upon completion of CNG delivery, the message END will appear on the display.
- Move the three-way valve on the nozzle handle to the VENT position (arrows pointing towards each other).
- Remove the nozzle from the vehicle’s tank.
- Re-insert the nozzle in its housing on the dispenser. Leave the three-way valve on the nozzle handle at the VENT position.
- When the nozzle is repositioned in the nozzle boot, the transaction will be closed.
- During the delivery, it’s possible to interrupt the refilling by pressing the Red Stop (2) button.
- Once the transaction has been concluded, please return to the payment terminal and use the touch screen to print a receipt. The receipt will be delivered below.
- Important to note: While collecting the receipt conduct a visual inspection of both the vehicle and the dispenser to ensure both are decoupled.
