North Louth Hospice receives €7,000 from Patsy Kelly 5K

Thanks to the financial support of Flogas as race sponsor of the Patsy Kelly 5K (also known as the PK5K), the organisers were delighted to present a cheque for over €7,000 to the North Louth Hospice Foundation recently.  Pictured l/r are: race organisers Melanie Hearty and Sabrina Mulholland of North East Runners Dundalk; Mary Kerley from North Louth Hospice; Paula Harrison from Clan Na Gael; Aine Kelly; Avril Casserly. marketing executive Flogas Ireland; Marie Kelly, Colm Hearty of North East Runners and Rosetta Whyte from the North Louth Hospice.

The PK5K took place on Sat 8th April 2017 and over 826 participants finished the race which was won by William McKee from the Mourne Runners and the first female runner across the line was Rio 2016 Olympian marathon runner Breege Connolly. It is organised by a dedicated committee of volunteers from North East Runners and founded in memory of former running mate Patsy Kelly. All race proceeds go to a designated charity, which this year was the North Louth Hospice Foundation.   It is run in partnership with Athletics Ireland and the Clan naGael GAA Club in Dundalk.
