Motorbike racer Nicole Lynch from Clondalkin in Dublin has been officially announced as a brand ambassador for Flogas Ireland and will be driving a car converted to Flogas Autogas to compete in motorcycle race meetings across Ireland this year.

Nicole Lynch said, “I am so delighted to be a Brand Ambassador for Flogas Ireland and the use of the Flogas Autogas car has been a real boost as I can drive close to 30,000 km annually attending race days and track days all over Ireland. It’s fantastic to have a great set of wheels on-track and off!”

Nicole is racing on her Medlar Racing Suzuki SV650 in Ireland and the UK this year. Her major competition will be in the Supertwins class in the Thundersport GB Championship in England and Wales. Thundersport GB is seen as an important stepping stone towards a potential professional career in motorbike racing, her dream goal. Nicole commented, “Thundersport GB is hugely competitive and it also gives riders a lot of track time, which is vital experience for any competitor. Like any other sport, the more opportunities you are given to compete at a high level, the more likely you are to improve your game. It’s going to be exciting.”

Back home, Nicole will also be racing in the Irish and Ulster Short Circuit Championships as well as competing in several rounds of the Masters Superbike Championship, all taking place at the Mondello, Bishopscourt and Kirkistown race tracks in the Republic and Northern Ireland.

Eoin O’Flynn, marketing manager, Flogas Ireland, said “Motorbike racing requires a great deal of hard work in addition to personal and financial sacrifice. Nicole’s dedication in pursuing her dream becoming a professional motorbike racer is to be commended and Flogas is delighted to be able to support her on her journey. We wish her the very best of luck this year.”
Nicole has been riding bikes from the age of four and racing since 2014 with numerous podium finishes under her belt. In 2016, she competed in the European Junior Cup, run as part of the World Superbike Championships, the first female Irish rider to do so.

LPG Autogas, a cleaner, greener and cheaper alternative to petrol and diesel, is currently used in more than 13 million vehicles operating worldwide. As well as being cheaper than petrol or diesel, it generates considerably fewer emissions than fossil fuels, contributing to the protection of the environment and human health while also mitigating the threat of climate change.
