Kim shoots for success at four major competitions

Flogas sponsored Kimberley Irwin from Drogheda has had an action-packed July with individual and team success at four major international clay pigeon shooting tournaments held in Ireland that month.

Kim and the Irish ladies team won a bronze medal at both the DTL European and World Clay Pigeon Championships which ran concurrently from 17-23 July at Esker Shooting Grounds in Banagher Galway. Kim shot a personal best of 296 ex 300 on Day 1 of the World Championships and took sixth place overall, the highest ranked member of the Irish team.

Kim was also a member of the Irish team that took second place at the British Open on Sunday 17th July at Banbridge in Co. Down. Kim not only won her class competition, open to both male and female competitors, she was also the best female shot in the team event and fourth placed lady overall of the tournament with a score of 295 ex 300, hitting 99 out of 100 clay targets.

They were also runners up in the Ladies section of the DTL Home International at the same venue on Friday 15th July. England won the ladies team event with a score of 1149 ex 1200 to Ireland's 1138 ex 1200, with Scotland 3rd, Northern Ireland 4th and Wales 5th.
