Flogas unveiled as premier sponsor of the 2018 Drogheda Business Excellence Awards

Flogas Ireland has been announced as the premier sponsor of the 14th annual Drogheda Business Excellence Awards for 2018. Organised by the Drogheda and District Chamber, they were launched on Wed 5th September at the Highlanes Gallery by the Mayor, councillor Frank Godfrey and this year promises to be bigger and better than ever, with fourteen categories for local organisations and businesses to enter.
Flogas is also sponsoring the Lifetime Achievement category and Eoin O’Flynn, marketing manager Flogas Ireland commented, “The winner of this award will be an outstanding individual whose pioneering spirit, resourcefulness and determination have contributed to the business and the social fabric of the community. As a proud Drogheda company with roots going back over 40 years here, it is our great pleasure to sponsor this award category.”
A novel element is the inclusion of a “Peoples’ Choice Award,” which will have finalists competing to secure the greatest number of on-line votes as possible using the Public Voting System.
The Business Awards Programme is free to enter and open to both Chamber members and non-members operating in Drogheda and surrounding areas. Chamber President, Shona McManus, said that the awards are a great opportunity for local companies to showcase their business and with a number of new categories added this year there is something for everyone, “It’s a special moment to get shortlisted for an award, it’s extra special to win one. I am encouraging all businesses in the area to consider putting themselves forward this year for what is a fantastic showcasing opportunity. Some businesses may also be eligible to compete in more than one category, which enhances the possibility of them winning an award,” said Shona.
Information and application forms are on the Drogheda Chamber website, www.droghedachamber.com and the deadline for submissions is Monday 1st October 2018. The Awards night is Saturday 24th November in the CityNorth Hotel and an evening of glitz and glamour is promised.
