Flogas is delighted to be the sponsor of Duffy brothers Eoin (17) and Cathal (14), two talented young motocross competitors from Ardglass in Co. Down. They are the sons of Brendan Duffy of Thomas Duffy & Sons in Downpatrick, a well-known Flogas dealer in Co. Down.

Eoin is 17 years old and in the middle of his first year of racing as an adult in the MRA Ulster and MRA All-Ireland Championships. MRA Ireland (Motorcycle Racing Association Ireland) is the governing body responsible for the promotion of motocross, endure, quadcross and supermoto events across Ireland.

Brendan Duffy, Eoin’s dad, said “The two championships are now at the half-way point and Eoin is not letting his status as youngest in his class deter him from challenging for a top three finish! It’s a very exciting and immensely valuable learning year for him.”

Eoin is also leading the All-Ireland Championships at present, 28 points ahead of the next rider. Upcoming races for Eoin are the 4th round of the MRA Ulster Championship is taking place on 15th June at Tinkerhill, Newry and the following day is round 4 of MRA All-Ireland Championship at Derryarkin, Co. Westmeath.

Cathal Duffy is 14 years old and he races with the MotoCross Club of Northern Ireland (MCCNI). Brendan said that Cathal hopes to become a MRA ‘youth’ rider next year, following in ‘bike tracks’ of his older brother. This year, he is competing in the MCCNI and GH Championships, currently sitting in 4th place in both and in the GR Championship where he is currently 10th. It is still the early rounds in his championship season, so it is all still up for grabs,” his dad Brendan said.

Craig Johnston, Area Sales Executive, Flogas, said “Flogas is always delighted to have the opportunity to support young sporting talent and we wish Brendan, Eoin and Cathal the best of luck for the rest of the season.”
