Flogas Ireland Limited (“Flogas”) and Just Energy Ireland Limited (“Just Energy Ireland”) are pleased to announce that they have signed a commercial agreement that will see all Just Energy Ireland residential and commercial gas and electricity contracts in Ireland transfer to Flogas by the end of December 2019. This deal has been formally approved by the CRU.

There will be no impact on supply to the circa 10,000 Just Energy Ireland residential and commercial customers during the transfer period. Over the coming weeks, all Just Energy Ireland customers will receive communications from Flogas about their own accounts.

John Rooney, managing director, Flogas Ireland, said “We’re very pleased to welcome Just Energy Ireland customers to Flogas. We’re working closely together to ensure a smooth transfer of operations and our priority is to ensure that our new customers continue to receive a great standard of service. To support this, we are investing heavily in new IT, CRM and ERP systems, and actively recruiting to boost resources in sales, marketing, energy- trading and risk management.”

The announcement follows the decision of Just Energy to exit the Irish market following an evaluation of its operations here.

Scott Gahn, President and Chief Executive Officer of Just Energy said, “Our customers are in safe hands with Flogas. Flogas is a premier energy provider that will continue to provide the quality of service that our customers in Ireland have come to expect. We have been working closely with them to ensure a seamless transfer.”

An Irish owned company, Flogas has been operating in the retail energy market since 1978 and already supplies natural gas and electricity to over 35,000 residential and commercial customers in Ireland.

On transfer to Flogas, some individual tariff details may change but Flogas is assuring customers that their annual estimated bill should not increase. Flogas has purchased carbon offsets equivalent to the carbon generated from the supply of electricity to Just Energy customers, so their electricity supplied by Flogas will be carbon neutral.

For more information, Just Energy Ireland customers can go to www.justenergy.ie/Flogas.  For any queries before the transfer, contact Just Energy as usual.
