Flogas was delighted to join some of the country’s star players and emerging talent for a  delicious lunch at the Cricket Ireland Awards on Friday 13th November in Dublin.

Managing director John Rooney presented Jim Bennett of the Hills Cricket Club in Skerries, Dublin with the Flogas Outstanding Contribution to Irish Cricket trophy.  Jim Bennett has been involved in Irish cricket for decades in various roles at local and national level. He has given many years of service to youth cricket and chairing the Youth Committee. Over the years, Jim has also been involved with the selection, management and administration of the youth international teams.

Flogas is the official energy partner to Cricket Ireland since early 2015 and the company’s involvement in the sport was strengthened further by the recent announcement of leading cricketers John Mooney and Kevin O’Brien as Flogas brand ambassadors.

John Mooney won the Inter-Provincial Player of the Year Award for leading his side to a clean sweep of trophies at inter-provincial level scoring centuries in both the T20 and Championship formats.

John Rooney said:

“We’re honoured to be able to recognise someone of the calibre of Jim Bennett for his enormously influential role in Irish cricket over the years, particularly in the development of the youth teams.  We’d also like to congratulate our brand ambassador John Mooney on his top class performances this year and we’re looking forward to 2016.”
