Group at Jerpoint Exhibition - Flogas sponsors 'The Vessels' Exhbition at Jerpoint Glass

A Platinum Perspective

Henry Cubbon, Managing Director of Flogas Group, gives an insight into LPG in the UK and his take on the WLPGas Forum taking place in London in October 2013.

Q. What attracted you to becoming a platinum sponsor of the event?
This really is an exciting time for LPG, as its potential as a fuel for the future grows. Having acquired LPG businesses in five European countries in 2012, Flogas is a firm believer in LPG and we are keen to support Trade Associations in promoting the product. We are looking to grow further over the coming years, and the event provides an excellent platform for us to demonstrate our commitment to the WLPGA and our industry.

Q What do you believe are the key opportunities for LPG in the UK?
LPG is at a real turning point – both globally and in the UK. We are seeing increasing worldwide supply from the US, Russia, the Middle East and Africa and increasing recognition of the fuel’s cleaner burning credentials. We are very excited by the opportunities that this brings us, where we can offer commercial and domestic customers both the financial and environmental benefits of switching to LPG.

Q. What are you most looking forward to during the event?
In general terms, we are delighted to be involved in such a globally-prominent event that helps us to reinforce the positive LPG story, and share Flogas Group’s plans to grow. As those who already work with us will know, we are passionate about the developments taking place across the LPG industry, so we’re really looking forward to welcoming and meeting fellow industry professionals from Europe, South America, East Asia and beyond. We are sure that they will enjoy the debate and discussions as much as we will! We’ll be using the event to share the Flogas Group story with those who may not be familiar with it, and outline how we plan to exploit the potential for LPG and develop this success across European borders.

Q. Why should people come to this event?
I think this is a great time to be in the LPG industry so you would be foolish not to join such a unique meeting of technical and authoritative minds, and understand the developments across our industry. For example, at Flogas we certainly picked up valuable learnings from Madrid 2010, including new products we discovered in the Exhibition, that have been incorporated into our business development. There is no doubt for us that if you are in LPG and want to understand its future, then you must come, and we look forward to seeing you there.
