Flogas backs YesChef charity cycle

Pedal to the metal…..Anthony Mulligan, regional sales manager and Paul Ruegg, senior marketing executive for Flogas with Shane Smith of YesChef at the announcement of Flogas as headline sponsor for the 2017 YesChef charity cycle.

Team YesChef rides again for charity and Flogas is once again the headline sponsor of its annual cycle taking place between 22-24 May 2017. Flying the company flag will be Anthony Mulligan, regional sales manager for Flogas in Northern Ireland, who’s climbing into the saddle to raise funds for this year’s charities, Teenline and the Irish Heart Foundation.

Anthony will be joining chefs Derry Clarke, Adrian Martin and Gareth Mullins as they pedal through 300 kilometres of picturesque Irish countryside, starting and ending at the Burren Storehouse in Lisdoonvarna and including a two-night sojourn in the uber-cool NOX Hotel in Galway.

Organiser Shane Smith of YesChef said, “The cycle is on its way towards becoming an annual charity fundraising event for chefs, front of house, suppliers and others working in the hospitality industry. As it’s a leisure cycle and not a race, last year over 50 people turned up for an unforgettable three days of biking, fun and good food and we’re looking to have the same number, if not more, this year.

Paul Ruegg, senior marketing executive for Flogas, commented, “We were blown away by the response last year and delighted to be involved once again in 2017. This time around, we’ll have even more of a reason to cheer them on as our very own ‘freewheeling’ Anthony Mulligan is swapping his four wheels for two to help raise funds for the two worthy causes.”
