Flogas sponsor Brooklands Gas Showjumping Team
Flogas sponsor Brooklands Gas Showjumping Team Brooklands Gas in Ballina has been a Flogas authorised distributor in the West of Ireland for bottled gas for several decades. This long business association between Flogas and its owners, Tiernan Gill senior and junior, paved the way some years ago for Flogas to sponsor them on the high-profile competitive showjumping circuit.
To date, the sponsorship has been very successful, with the Flogas brand name prominently displayed as Tiernan Gill Jnr made top tier in many prestigious events in the showjumping calendar in Ireland and abroad. Dad Tiernan Gill snr is a staunch supporter and travels to all the major events. Aside from corporate branding on the horsebox and and other items, Tiernan’s horses also carry the brand name. In particular, ‘Flogas Marbella’ has been a stand-out steed and won the Supreme Young Stock Championship at the 2004 RDS Dublin Horse Show. In recognition of their achievement, both father and son were presented with the Laidlow Cup by President Mary McAleese.
Successes in 2006 included first place on Flogas Victory in 4 year olds section of the National Showjumping Championships in Wexford; 2nd place on Ucarado B at the Lee Strand Five Year Olds Championship in Millstreet, Cork and 2nd place on Ucarado B at the British Jumping Derby Meeting in Hickstead.
In 2007, Tiernan Jnr will be competing in Cavan, Balmoral, Galway, RDS Dublin, Hickstead in the UK and Millstreet in Cork, to name but a few. He will be competing on several horses and their names are Flogas Ucarado B, Flogas Victory, Flogas Wenke, Flogas Dallas and Flogas Winchester. We wish him the very best of luck!
